Next, jump into the final hidden room on the right wall. There is a fusion core inside, in case you need it. ![]() Once you are standing in the glitch area, regenerate your AP and jump into the first hidden room. It took me several hours to find the glitch and be able to repeat the process without much difficulty. You want to aim for the corner of the room and get as high as possible, while hugging the corner until you get glitched in it. It gives you more control of both your upwards momentum and directional movement. I jumped from the ledge opposite of the hidden room, and as I gained upwards momentum, I used the Jet consumable to slow down time for 10 seconds. What you need to do is use a glitch in the corners to gain higher ground and reach the first hidden room. It is hard to describe this and the video will show the process much better. It will seem that there is nothing above except empty walls, but if you look closely, you’ll notice two holes in the walls. Reaching Freefall ArmorUse your jetpack to navigate the broken balconies until you reach the highest walkway in the building. Scale this to reach Freefall Armor hidden room. This is where you’ll have to start climbing. Above you will be broken floors and below you’ll see the ground level through a glass floor. Once you deal with the enemies, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the building. Get the Mass Fusion Executive ID and password from a table across the elevator and descend into the building. Once you reach the roof of Mass Fusion you will have to find the Executive ID and password in the table shown above. In any case: get your Power Armor (equipped with a Jet Pack) and advance the quest with your chosen faction to be transported to the roof of the Mass Fusion building. You need to have some Jet and Nuke Cola Quantum consumables. You might be able to access the roof of the Mass Fusion building if you already finished the abovementioned quests via an elevator in the lobby. This is a fork in the story and if you decide to do the quest with the Institute, the Brotherhood will become permanent enemies, and vice versa. You need to be on the main quest Mass Fusion (if you decided to ally with the Institute) or the quest Spoils of War (if you are allied with Brotherhood of Steel). ![]()

Most importantly, though, Tangle Tower is built around an excellent whodunit mystery that moves along at just the right pace. They generally make a lot of sense within the context of the game, rather than seeming to come out of nowhere, and they strike the right balance of being challenging without stopping the action dead. The puzzles are another huge plus in the game?s favour. This is emblematic of the entire game, since whenever Grimoire and Sally have to interview a suspect - this is a murder mystery, after all - the people they encounter also come alive thanks to a good script and, again, good voice acting. The two main characters, detectives Grimoire and Sally, banter constantly throughout the game, and they?re voiced by actors who give the characters…well, character. Take, for example, the writing and the voice acting. The rest of Tangle Tower may loosely follow what you?d expect from an adventure game, but all of it is so well done, it feels timeless, rather than being hopelessly indebted to the past. The colours, the style, the way it?s all presented - all of it feels like something that would come out today, rather than something that?s trying to recreate 1994. Tangle Tower?s aesthetic is hard to describe, but it?s clearly not indebted to the old LucasArts games in the way that other modern adventure games are. It takes all the usual pieces of those 30-year-old games - the snarky comments and offhand jokes, the clicking on everything to find clues, the puzzles that don?t always make a tonne of sense - and finds a way to make them seem fresh and new.Ī big part of the credit for that, I think, has to go to the game?s visuals. ![]() This is what makes Tangle Tower so surprising. That?s not the worst thing in the world, to be sure - the games from that era were pretty fun, and aping them has led to some decent results - but it doesn?t make for games that feel particularly fresh. I tend to use round Chinese brushes or a square hake for washes. Pens can be cut from thin or thick bamboo (easier when the wood is green) and produce some great lines. Avoid getting the holder too wet as the wood will crack. Take the nib out of the holder to wash it and avoid letting ink dry on the nib as it can lessen the flow. Nibs come in a variety of widths to create a varying thickness of lines. Pen holders and drawing nibs are inexpensive. If the work is to last, look out for inks made with pigment rather than dyes. Indian ink can also be diluted and worked with a brush to create tonal work or used for tonal underpainting. Black Indian ink is extremely strong and is often used with a dipping pen for fine drawing because, when dry it is waterproof, transparent colour can then be washed over it without altering the drawing.
